MAVIC 2 SMART MODES

QuickShot

Make a video in one tap. Let the drone itself take professional shots for you, after which a 10-second video will be cut into automatic mode, which you can share as quickly as possible. QuickShots will help the user to shoot stunning shots with a cinematic composition in one tap.

Mavic 2 inherited 6 standard QuickShot smart shooting modes: Roket / Dronie / Circle / Helix / Boomerang / Asteroid. Also, was added a new mode which will be available for Mavic 2 Zoom – Dolly Zoom

  • Dronie – drone photographs the object, moving away from it gaining height diagonally. At the end of the shooting, the drone will return to its original position.
  • Circle – drone shoots an object, flying around
  • Rocket – the drone shoots an object, rocket up and away from the ground for a specified distance
  • Boomerang – to shoot an object, flying it along an oval trajectory with a rise at a distant point and then returning to the starting point
  • Asteroid – copter flies back and up, recording video and making a spherical panorama at the end of the flight. Then combines shooting and panorama in a short video
  • DollyZoom (only Mavic 2 Zoom) – drone moves away from the subject and zooms in at the same time

Active_Track_2.0

The second generation mode recognizes and tracks objects even more accurately, faster and smarter. The previous generation of ActiveTrack for tracking relied only on a two-dimensional image from the main camera. ActiveTrack 2.0 uses three-dimensional maps of the environment, coming both from the main camera and from the front sensors, which at the output provided a more accurate level of recognition.

This mode allows you to track the object even at the time of disappearance from view. Mavic 2 keep high-speed tracking of an object at speeds up to 72km / h. Aircraft creates a 3D flight route and in advance avoids obstacles in front and behind, without interrupting the process of video filming.

Activetrack 2.0 modes:

  • Trace – drone follows you from behind or in front of you at a constant distance.
  • Profile – aircraft moves in parallel, recording video of the object from the side and keeping a constant distance.
  • Spotlight – you can change the position and distance of the drone, but it continues to follow the object.

Panorama

Mavic 2 supports 4 panoramic shooting modes:

  • horizontal
  • vertical
  • 180º
  • spherical

POI 2.0

The new version of Point of interest 2.0 adds the ability to track the object using the optical system. As a result of the copter, no needs to hover above the object before shooting.

Waypoint 2.0

Waypoint 2.0 is also enhanced by developers. Now you don’t need to fly to a specific location to mark waypoints. It is enough to specify points of the route and the point of interest in the application. Then save the flight for future reference.

Dolly Zoom

The effect is achieved by moving the drone(camera) forward or backward while changing the focal length. The result is a feeling that the subject remains unchanged, and all other objects around are visible from a different angle.

Hyperlapse

Hyperlapse mode allows you to shoot accelerated video. You can adjust the duration of the video, how often to take the next frame, the direction of flight (forward or backward) and one of the modes:

  • Free – you can control the position of the drone and the angle of the camera.
  • Circle – you select an object on the screen around which the airplane must rotate and the drone itself calculates the distance
  • Course Lock – allows your drone to move in a given direction while you control the yaw (left and right) and tilt of the gimbal.
  • WayPoint – you set points, and the aircraft automatically moves between them, making a hyperlapse. You can add up to 5 points.
